Authentic Society was created to make information available to people who search the Internet. This website is a collection of articles, written by its users. This information is provided as a reference and research material, it is free of use and anyone can contribute. Users may also agree or disagree with comments posted by other people on any subject by clicking on the thumb-up or thumb-down buttons. This also counts as a vote that validates or discredits people's opinions.
Every time a user makes such a vote, this gesture is stored as a bit of information telling Authentic Society something about the user and his (or her) opinions and perspectives. This is where the "authentic" bit comes in. If someone thumbs-up your comment on a particular subject, that user would gain "authority points", called
mana. This simply means that the user's opinion was favored by someone else, giving the original author of the comment more credibility. Mana is not a perfect indicator of user authenticity, but it is a good estimate. This system of authentic users is currently being updated and improved. Authentic Society is a small website. We value all of our authentic users and welcome interesting articles to be added to our website. We hope the information stored in the Encyclopedia has proven to be useful to you and we hope to see you as a part of our small but authentic community very soon

Right now the only way we can support this web-site is by deploying Google AdSense on every page. We understand that it may be a little frustrating to see ads while reading up on things of interest, however it is an unfortunate necessity so we can continue to run out servers. We are happy to have helped thousands of people with their online research and we are constantly growing in size. Don't be shy, post some articles of your own to contribute to our free encyclopedia!
