Mana is a way to measure an Authentic Society user credibility. Mana is earned over a period of time. When a registered user posts a comment on any page, it is counted as that user's opinion. Other people may thumb-up or thumb-down page comments by clicking on appropriate buttons. If there are more users thumbing up someone else's comment, the author of the comment gets credited with 1 mana point per vote. This is a fun way to gain authority as a user of Authentic Society. It is also a way to validate one's opinion or observation. If a comment is thumbed up a reasonable number of times by the community, that comment is qualified to be truthful. This is important because this way it is possible to authenticate not only logical but also emotional content that many users agree with, making it more truthful than not. The great thing about mana is that you may automatically gain credibility weeks or even months after posting valuable information or opinions as long as you post something interesting or valid. Users who obtain a large number of mana points are displayed on the front page of the website and will be considered as meaningful contributors to our community. We constantly develop and edit the algorithms responsible for authenticating someone's opinions. But we know that we are not always perfect. This is why we designed our website as a Collective Intelligence platform where anyone can contribute ideas! The future of mana lies in the hands of the developers of this website as well as the brilliant minds of our community. We welcome you to post any comments, opinions or feature requests right here, in the section below on this page.
