PHP Reference Manual and Tutorials for beginners

Welcome to Authentic Society PHP reference manual. This is a small collection of tutorials and other information on PHP scripting. One of the most appealing things about writing PHP scripts is that most of the hosting companies support it and you can start programming in PHP right away with your favorite text editor. Speaking of which, I strongly recommend using EditPadPro. I usually don't like paying for the software that I find on the internet, but I've come to the conclusion that EditPadPro is one of the best low-cost editors ever made. It's simple to use and understand, has a bunch of useful features, and can edit files directly on your server as well as upload them to the server automatically when you save your work. If you still don't want to spend money on it, a "Lite" version is available for a free evaluation download, though you don't get the FTP feature. The editor was suggested to me by a friend and at first I was a bit hesitant switching to EditPad from Notepad (Yes, that's what I've been using for quite a long time to write code). As of now I've been using EditPadPro for years and in my opinion it's well worth the $49.95.

Now that you have the tools and I assume you have a site hosted on a server with PHP installed, you're ready to browse the tutorials on this page! I hope that the Authentic Society PHP repository will help you with whatever you're working on.
